Great Jones Distilling Co is celebrating the Empire State with its 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon, an expression crafted entirely in New York.
As Manhattan’s first whiskey distillery since Prohibition, Great Jones has made quite a name for itself since opening. Made from 100% Hudson Valley–grown corn, malted barley, and rye, the bourbon has matured for a decade in American Oak barrels in upstate New York where seasons, shift drastically. The result is a 105 proof blend of that is its most impressive expression to date.
“When we were tapping all the 10-year barrels to determine a flavor profile, although each barrel had a unique taste, they were all incredible,” Great Jones Distilling Co. Head Distiller Celina Perez told The Whiskey Lifestyle exclusively. “There were vanilla bombs and even ones that tasted like cucumber. I just wanted something smooth, balanced, and cohesive, with a variety of unique expressions.
“With our 10-Year-Old Bourbon, we are proving Great Jones is built to last,” added Perez. “Aging a bourbon for a decade takes vision and commitment, and this expression is proof of the legacy we are creating right here in Manhattan.”
Available exclusively at its Manhattan distillery, Great Jones 10 Year Distillery Reserve Bourbon is available for $199.
