Great Jones Distilling has gone upstate for its latest release a new Wheated Bourbon, made entirely with New York-grown grain.
The New York City-based distillery is leaning into local character with a mashbill of corn, malted barley, rye, and red winter wheat from the Finger Lakes, aged at least four years in new American oak barrels and bottled at 90 proof. It is also cut to proof with Catskill Mountain Water.
In 2021, Great Jones opened in Manhattan, bringing the art of whiskey-making back to New York City. All expressions, including our Straight Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, and limited-edition releases, produced are 100% New York whiskey. In addition to a working distillery, the distillery features a bespoke cocktail bar, a restaurant for special events, and a gift shop.
