This limited-edition launch is a three-part collection consisting of Warehouse R (“Mushroom”), Warehouse W (“Beaver”) and Warehouse G (“Owl”).

Warehouse R “The Mushroom” was housed in a  rare single-story warehouse with no windows, cool and dark like the forest floor inhabiting mushrooms. Warehouse W “The Beaver” was in a five-story, nearly century-old rickhouse enveloped in the humidity of its damp, creekside location. Warehouse G “The Owl” | comes from a towering nine-story structure, one of the few of its kind still standing. Each expression is 110 proof.

The 2025 batch, the second installment, tells the story of barrels first used to age Booker’s 30th Anniversary release, then shipped to Jalisco where the Camarena family filled them with El Tesoro’s 85th Anniversary tequila. Finally, they were returned to Clermont, Kentucky, where Freddie Noe, Beam Family 8th Generation Master Distiller, finished a hand-selected batch of Booker’s inside them.

This is the very first time across the entire Beam portfolio that a product is finished in tequila barrels. At 123.3 proof the bourbon is aged exactly eight years, ten months and eleven days.

“Welcome to the second batch of The Reserves: a celebration of my Granddaddy Booker’s legacy. In many ways, it’s the same Booker’s you know and love. Always uncut and unfiltered,” said Freddie Noe, Beam Family 8th Generation Master Distiller. “But in other ways, The Reserves is something new, inspired by my granddaddy’s boundless curiosity and relentless pursuit of flavor.

With little to no definition in the American Single Malt category, he developed his own guidelines, making production choices to celebrate the flavor of this single grain.

Clermont Steep is a whiskey steeped in influence from both process and place. Just as single malt couldn’t exist without steeping the grain, this whiskey couldn’t exist without Clermont, Kentucky – the soul place of the James B. Beam Distilling Co. Noe and his team hand-selected the American malted barley for the mash and used Beam family jug yeast in the natural fermentation process. It’s the same yeast that is used in all Beam products. The single malt was then distilled on a column still and aged for five years in barrels that were toasted, then quickly charred to a char level 1.

The launch of Clermont Steep marks a significant milestone in the American Whiskey landscape as James B. Beam Distilling Co., the world’s largest producer of bourbon, takes a stake in a rapidly growing segment.
